Do you love baking Christmas treats? Are you looking for some new ideas? Are you craving the taste of home Christmas cookies and sweets?
Then you are in the right place! Today I am joined by 6 other talented ladies as we share a virtual Christmas cookie and sweet treats exchange! You are going to love all their delicious recipes!
I absolutely love the Christmas season. Now, I am not a very good cook, but I do love baking. Even so, my poor cooking skills do come through and I have had my fair share of failures unfortunately.
I did, however, find this amazing recipe for a type of shortbread/sugar cookie with the most beautiful glaze. Not only are the cookies delicious, they are so pretty – like pieces of art! Each one is different, just like snowflakes, and you will not believe how easy it was to make them. Click here for the full post.
Up next is my lovely friend Kristy from At Home with Kristy, who actually put this whole sweet exchange together. Kristy is a very successful interior designer who lives in Texas and is a true southern gal. For 30 years she has been designing and decorating luxury model homes and private residences. Big news for Kristy is that she was also just featured on the cover of a magazine for her Christmas decor. Kristy has the best recipe for thin mints and you won’t believe it only has three ingredients!!! Click here for her full post.
Next up is Kylie from Trueman’s Treasures. Kylie lives in Nebraska, loves to decorating on a budget, thrifting and fast and easy recipes. She recently built her forever home on 10 acres and it is gorgeous! Today she has shared her recipe for peppermint candy cane hot chocolate. I love how she styled it with all the sweet treats to compliment the hot chocolate! Click here for her recipe.
Next up is Sheri from Savvy in the Suburbs. Sheri is from Texas and is an interior designer. Is any of this sounding familiar? Well Sheri and Kristy are very good friends. Sheri is a sweet soul who is a devoted mother and grandmother – it is clear that family is so important to her. So is her faith! She also loves to cook and is sharing her recipe for the easiest peanut clusters in the whole world! Click here for her recipe.
Next up is Cindy from DIY Beautify. You will never believe this but Cindy grew up in the city I now live in, in Canada! She now lives in Tennessee and is very creative. She loves to do furniture updates, room makeovers, craft tutorials and sharing decorating shortcuts! She shared her recipe for a delicious snack mix and also free downloadable tags! Click here for her post.
Next up is Missy from Sonata Home Designs. Missy is a close friend of mine and I am such of fan of her ability to decorate, photograph and use color in her home! She is currently a home stager and used to have a decor and gift store where, among other things, she accessorized for the hit show “Extreme Home Makeover”!!! She is so talented and she has shared her recipe for homemade chocolate truffles and how to make a truffle tree! Click here for the post.
Last but definitely not least is Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Road. Amber lives in Kentucky is a music teacher and realtor with a passion for old homes, decorating, collecting antiques, gardening, and creating lovely things! She was recently featured in a special addition of The Cottage Journal Magazine called “Country Cottage Christmas”. Wow, what a thrill and so well deserved! Today Amber is sharing her recipe for an allergy free cookie that is gluten, dairy, egg and nut free but it still tastes like a real cookie! Click here for her recipe.
As always thank you so very much for staying until the end. I would love to hear what your favourite recipe was.
Coming up next is a post on creative wrapping techniques, a diy on a gorgeous deep green velvet wreath and Christmas home tour! I cannot wait to share all of these ideas with you!
