How to create a

Coastal Style Tablescape

A starting point for your coastal style tablescape for your dining room, is with a wooden dough bowl.  Dough bowls are so versatile and provide a great base.

Let’s get started! Fill the base of the dough bowl with sand.

Places shells, faux starfish and a mercury glass candleholder in the dough bowl. Drape a marine float garland through the dough bowl and down the center of the table. bout making bread! Practice makes perfect so bake, bake, bake!

Other pieces required to capture the coastal style look: Rattan chargers, cotton table runner, lanterns, driftwood and sticks, natural grasses.

Table settings: Rattan charger, layered with white and blue plates, a simple farmhouse cotton napkin and a faux starfish.

These little vases in a soft amber and green are perfect for a coastal style table.

Here they are again, with natural, dried grass pieces from my garden.

Marine floats, dried branches, and an old door all add interest to the top of a china cabinet.

Large windows, sheer curtains and a big water view also help bring the whole look together.

Now it is time to sit back, relax and enjoy!
