Welcome to my first ever “Weekend Reflections”! I am so excited to share this with you because it is filled with reflections from the week past, news about what has been happening here at Sweet Valley Acres and some amazing things I found that I want to share with you!
So let’s get started. This was a bustling week for all of us. We had glorious weather on Monday, the smoke was gone and I got so many beautiful outdoor photos, like this one!
In fact, I got so many gorgeous photos of the greenhouse I decided to write a blog on the story of the greenhouse and I also divulged a secret…we have a name for our greenhouse and it has a special meaning. If you haven’t already, please head over to the post by clicking here.

As always, Bentley was busy, busy, busy with the pool. He did the last of the grinding of the infinity edge and it is all ready for tile which we will do next year. Just look how pretty it is even without tile!

I have been enjoying some outdoor solar lights that I recently purchased and will be sharing them in upcoming blogs and posts. You are going to love them but here is a sneak peek!!!

It was our 32nd anniversary this week! We had a lovely day and then a most delicious dinner out at a waterfront restaurant called the Hotel Eldorado. It is a beautiful old hotel filled to the brim with nostalgia and classic design. The feeling is not something I can describe other than being taken back to a more beautiful time.

As you all know I am new to blogging and one of the best ways to learn the craft is to check out other amazing bloggers. I found so many wonderful accounts with such great information. Like, Leslie at “Feet Under My Table”. Her blog is so beautiful. Take a look at this gorgeous field of zinnias. She is harvesting her own seeds and has the best idea for what to do with them but you won’t know unless you head over and check her out.
My dear friend Marie at “This Dear Casa“ made over her patio and you will not believe the transformation. I am inspired and in love with all the diy’s her and her husband did. This one is loaded with great ideas and oodles of style!
Now, I don’t know about you but I am always on the look out for foot scrubs and creams and had no idea we could make them at home! I know, I have a lot to learn but a lotion stick and sugar scrub for our feet??? I am in heaven and I cannot wait to make this. Thank you Misty from Back Porch Bliss for enlightening and making my world a much better place!
As much as I fight it, fall is on it’s way and I found the cutest sweater pumpkins made by my lovely friend Kippi from Kippi at Home. Honestly are these not the cutest?
I found so many amazing more things and they are listed below. Just click on the words and you will magically be taken directly to the blog! I hope you enjoy them.
